“Love isn’t easy, but sometimes it’s worth all that pain – and other times, you just can’t get over that special someone. A folksy, tongue-in-cheek ode to love’s frustration, Lauren Crosby’s “I Work, I Work, I Work” captures heavy emotions through light, charming music and impassioned lyrics."
-Atwood Magazine
“Crosby doesn’t need to give us a rose to make us fall in love with ['You Don't Need A Rose']." - Earbuddy "Her sound is seasoned with plenty of salt from the North Atlantic, yet there’s a certain backwoods quality to her sound; it’s raw and beguiling, with a storytelling style that will leave you – the track comes in at just under two minutes long – wanting for more.”
-Essentially Pop
“The sass and beauty of Crosby’s personality is palpable through her mellifluous vocals, leading with a slight twang through the 11-track stunner. If you’re looking for the perfect track to sway your hips to at a garden party or while drinking under the stars with your friends, “You Don’t Need a Rose” and “Tak City” fit the bill.”

Lauren Crosby
Hailing from an island in Maine, Lauren Crosby’s music is a pure creative expression of the North Atlantic. With hints of smoke and salt, her voice is deeply captivating, yet light with wit and life. A lobsterman’s daughter let loose in the modern world, Lauren’s old soul lends itself to the surrealism of her surroundings and everyday happenings. Her style is a unique one to categorize. As a self taught guitarist and singer, she enjoys blending classic rock, lyric-y folk, and vintage western.
